Short title, extent and commencement.

(1) This Act may be called the 2*** Registration Act, 1908. 3[(2) It extends to the whole of India 4***: Provided that the State Government may exclude any districts or tracts of country from its operation.] (3) It shall come into force on the first day of January, 1909.
